The following is the press release issued on Friday, March 22, 2024 from the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) about the departure of its CEO Dan Santorum.
After four decades of dedicated service, Dan Santorum is departing PTR. Dan has been an instrumental part of PTR’s global growth and success. Over the years, he has held various roles, bringing dedication and expertise to each one.
Lynne Rolley, PTR’s Board Chair, stated “we are so grateful for all Dan has done to bring PTR to its current state. Over the years Dan has worked for PTR, the organization has grown to over 20,000 members in various sports. Dan has been a rich source of vision and knowledge and we appreciate his service. “
“It has been an incredible honor to be a part of PTR’s journey for the past 40 years,” said Dan Santorum. “I am immensely grateful for the opportunities, experiences, and friendships from around the world that have enriched my career. There have been so many people and so many moments that have made my years at PTR an incredible journey. I will always appreciate the opportunities I have experienced to serve and work with so many great colleagues.”
During his tenure, Dan’s contributions and commitment to excellence have been invaluable to PTR’s success, leaving a lasting legacy that will be remembered for years to come.
As Dan embarks on this new chapter, we express our deepest gratitude for his service and wish him the very best in his future endeavors.
PTR plans to promptly begin a search for a new CEO. In the interim, Karl Hale, former PTR Board Chair, will step in and assume, on an interim basis, the CEO responsibilities as PTR works through the search process.
PTR is the largest global organization of tennis teaching professionals with more than 12,000 members in 127 countries. It has the greatest percentage of multicultural and women members of any such organization. PTR is dedicated to educating, certifying and servicing tennis teachers and coaches around the world in order to grow the game.
