The field of eight players is set for the 200 Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London.
Fernando Verdasco secured the eighth and final spot in the year-end ATP Championships when both Robin Soderling and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga lost quarterfinal matches Friday at the BNP Paribas Masters in Paris.
Verdasco joins top-ranked Roger Federer, defending Novak Djokovic, No. 2-ranked Rafael Nadal, Britain’s Andy Murray, US Open champion Juan Martin del Potro, Wimbledon finalist Andy Roddick and 2008 runner-up Nikolay Davydenko in the field set to compete Nov. 22-29.
Roddick has not played since suffering a knee injury last month in Shanghai. If he is unable to compete, Soderling will slide into the field as the No. 1 alternate.
