Andrey Rublev Reclaims Bastad Crown, Wins 2026 Nordea Open Title

Andrey Rublev returned to the winner’s circle on Sunday, capturing the 2026 Nordea Open in Bastad, Sweden with a commanding victory over Italy’s Luciano Darderi in the ATP 250 final.

The top-seeded Russian needed little time to complete his impressive week on the Swedish clay, defeating Darderi in straight sets to claim his second Bastad title after first lifting the trophy in 2023. The victory marked the 14th ATP Tour singles title of Rublev’s career and continued his reputation as one of the ATP Tour’s most dangerous clay-court players.

Rublev entered the tournament as the top seed and lived up to expectations, dropping only one set all week. After surviving a tough opening-round battle against Andrea Pellegrino, he found his top form, routing Sebastian Baez in the quarterfinals before battling past Alejandro Tabilo in a three-set semifinal to earn a place in the championship match.
